The ITSSAR Assessments App is available to ITSSAR accredited training providers and their instructors. If you are an ITSSAR accredited training provider and would like to get started, you can register your interest via the link on our website. 

For the first six months, there is no charge for ITSSAR accredited training providers. After this introductory period, the subscription is priced at £10.99 per month. 

At this stage, the 081 manual is available, covering categories B1, B2, B3, D1, and G2. We will be adding further manuals to the app over time, so please check back for updates.

An internet connection is required to log in and load a course. Once a course has been loaded, the assessment itself can be completed offline. Please note that you will need to reconnect to the internet to submit your results.

No, the app is not mandatory. It is an optional tool designed to make the assessment process easier and more efficient for training providers and instructors who choose to use it. 

No. Operators can participate by scanning a QR code using any smartphone or smart device. For the best overall experience, we recommend using an Android or Apple tablet, though any modern smart device will work. 

Once an assessment has been submitted, it is considered final and cannot be edited by training providers or instructors. If an amendment is required, a formal request must be submitted to ITSSAR by email. Any changes made by ITSSAR administrators will be recorded in a full audit trail, including who made the change and the reason for it. 

The app is compatible with any modern smart device. For the best experience, we recommend using an Android or Apple tablet. 

Yes, the app can capture candidate photographs with the candidate’s consent.

Signatures are captured digitally by signing directly on the screen of the device.

Yes, all results are saved securely. Instructors and training provider administrators can access the results they have entered through their portal account. ITSSAR administrators have full access to all records across the system. 

Yes, assessment results can be printed directly from the system. 

This feature is not available at this stage. We will communicate any updates to functionality as the app continues to develop. 

The app does not currently include a dedicated daily attendance feature. However, if you are referring to Progressive Assessments, these can be recorded and tracked within the app. 

The ITSSAR Assessments App offers several key advantages over the traditional paper-based approach. It reduces environmental impact by eliminating the need for printed records, improves accuracy by removing manual data entry errors, reduces the administrative costs associated with storing and managing paper records, and updates ITSSAR training records in real time

Yes. Training records are updated in real time as soon as an assessment is completed and submitted. 

Once registered and approved, all new training providers will receive a dedicated training manual covering the administration side of the app. Instructors will receive a separate manual tailored to using the app on site during assessments. ITSSAR accredited training providers can register their interest directly with ITSSAR to get started. 

The app follows the same security model as the ITSSAR TOPS system. As a training provider, you can only access the data that you have entered. ITSSAR administrators have oversight of all system data, and the platform is backed up securely in line with ITSSAR’s data management practices.
